So far, I think that week one went pretty well.
I was good on all of my meals and I follow-up my workout plan. Over the weekend, Elias and I were at the beach. We walked 4 miles on Saturday and about 3 miles on Sunday. It's hard to calculate exactly without google maps to help. My calves were a little sore from all the walking on the sand. And at the end of each walk we have to climb the stairs to get back to the house. It's a tough way to end the workout but the view at the end is brilliant.
I haven't really lost any weight yet. I am not gonna lie and say that I am not disappointed, because I really am. But I just keep going. Maybe my body is just taking it's sweet time. I am trying to remember how I lost so much on my own and I wasn't writing anything down or anything.
Today is another 3.0 mile brisk walk during lunch. I like to workout during my lunches as it seems to break up the day and then I won't sit at my desk stuffing my face.
I got my blood work back on Saturday. The doctor said that I was Vitamin D, aka The sunshine vitamin, deficient. Hmmm...could it have anything to do with being inside all the freaking day now...I wonder. And it was just winter. I wonder if that had anything to do with it. Hmmm...
Anyways, I haven't raised any money yet for my walk. I need to send out a flier and get the show on the road.

Sore and Cramps
I am still so sore today from doing squats, lunges and military pushups on Tuesday night! The rest of the program is going pretty good so far. I don't have time today to workout during lunch and we are going to my parents tonight for dinner. Ron is making Ribs. I don't really care for Ribs, which is good because I heard they are actually not that good for you. I don't like them because they are so messy and you have to pull the meat off the bones. Anything with bones kinda creeps me out-chicken, wings, etc. I know, I sound like a food snob.
I had some crazy cramps yesterday. I worked out during lunch and I think that kept them at bay. Elias and I walked a little over 2 miles after work...and then boom!...It totally hit me. I took a bath when I got home and Elias made me grilled cheese and butternut squash soup for dinner. I managed to stay relatively close to my calorie goal so that was a relief, despite eating about 700 calories in licorice. I LOVE licorice. Why does it have to be so good? That's what I get for going to the grocery store on an empty stomach.
I am a little worried about getting a workout in today. I think I am going to have to suck it up and go walk on the treadmill at the gym to get my 3 miles in after dinner. It might be a late night. I keep telling myself to get up in the morning to work out but it's so nice and warm in my bed.
I am looking forward to this weekend! Elias birthday is tomorrow. YAY! We are going to splurge and hit up a new Japanese buffet near our house for lunch. I hope they have noodles...that's the only reason I go and maybe if they have soft serve.
I have two endurance walks this weekend. 4 miles on Saturday that I already routed with a walk on the beach and then another 3 miles on Sunday. That will be a total of 14 miles this week, not including my three X-training.

Back Hurts
Today is day 2. I FINALLY got my new office chair. We've been in the new building for going on a week now but in the move my office chair disappeared. I LOVED my office chair. I should have put my name on my chair like my keyboard and mouse. The more interesting thing is the fact that out of a whole office of 14 people the chair has completely disappeared. So, whatever. I was fortunate enough that I was able to buy a new one. Office depot has this thing wear you can put in how many hours you spend in your chair and what you use it for...10-12 hours sitting on my butt. They actually had a chair for that!
Today's task was to walk a brisk 3.0 miles. I walked 3.2 miles (a 5k) during my lunch hour. After work I did some shadow boxing with the punching bag and some circuits in the garage. I am sore already.
I still can't decide if it's my back because of my chair or because I worked out hard today. Whew!
Tomorrow is Wednesday. I have to be in Court tomorrow morning and I am tired already.

The beginning...
Today officially begins training for the Avon Walk in September. It's a 24 week schedule to prepare for the 39.3 mile walk. (A full marathon Day 1, a half marathon day 2.) Elias has volunteered to be my "coach" and walker buddy since the weekend "endurance" walks are long and I can imagine can get lonely. Princess will be along for the walks too. I think I am going to load my phone with Harry Potter books again for the walks. Time goes so much faster with Harry.
Anyways, today is a Recovery day. In theory it'll be great for training. In reality, for Day 1, it's a lot anti-climatic as it only requires 15 minutes of light walking. Of course, I did more than that.
Also, on the nutrition front- I have been off the diet coke train since January. I won't lie and say I haven't been perfect but I've been REALLY good. I do notice a huge difference in a lot of ways but particularly the fact that I now drink 80-120 ounces of water a day. I'd say I average around 100 ounces.
